Terms of Service
Last updated 24 August 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Telos, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old.
2. What Telos does, and does not do
Telos tracks applications, scores resumes against job descriptions, assesses whether an employer looks legitimate, and generates career roadmaps. Every one of those outputs is produced by software, including AI models, and every one of them can be wrong.
- A match score is an estimate. It is calibrated to be strict, but it is not the score any particular employer's system will produce, and it does not predict whether you will be interviewed or hired.
- An employer check is research, not a verdict. A "legitimate" result is not a guarantee that a company or posting is real or safe. Do your own diligence before sending anyone money, identity documents, or bank details. No legitimate employer asks for those before hiring you.
- A roadmap is a suggestion. Recommended certifications, timelines, and actions are generated advice. Verify any certification, cost, or requirement with the issuing body before spending money on it.
- Telos is not career, legal, financial, or immigration advice and does not create a professional relationship of any kind.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Use an address you control and a password you do not use elsewhere. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
4. Your content
Your resume, job records, and notes remain yours. You grant Telos only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store that content, process it, and send the relevant parts to the AI provider to generate the results you requested. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, and do not upload other people's personal information without a reason to.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Scrape, automate, or resell access to the service.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, access another user's data, or reach the admin area.
- Probe, overload, or interfere with the infrastructure.
- Use Telos to create fraudulent job postings, misrepresent credentials to employers, or harass anyone.
- Use it for anything unlawful.
Accounts that do these things can be suspended or removed without notice.
6. Plans, limits, and price
The free plan includes unlimited job tracking and a monthly allowance of AI actions. Those limits exist because each AI call has a real cost, and they may be adjusted as usage changes. Telos also enforces an overall monthly AI budget; if it is reached, AI features pause until the next month while everything else keeps working.
A paid Pro plan is planned but is not selling yet. No payment method is collected and nothing on this site charges you. If paid plans launch, the terms and price will be shown before anyone is asked to pay, and joining a waitlist is not a purchase.
7. Availability
Telos is provided as is. It is a small, actively developed product, and there is no uptime guarantee, no support commitment, and no promise that any feature will keep existing. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it. If it shuts down, account holders will be given notice and the chance to export their data.
8. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Profile, then Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and we do not keep a copy afterwards. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Telos is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non infringement.
Telos and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, lost employment, lost earnings, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Telos in the previous 12 months, which for a free account is zero dollars, or 50 US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The date above changes with them, and account holders are emailed when a change materially affects their rights. Continuing to use Telos after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. This does not remove any protection your local consumer law gives you.
